The drag and entertainment world is in mourning following the untimely passing of The Vivienne, the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 1. Born James Lee Williams in Colwyn Bay, Wales, The Vivienne passed away at the age of 32.
Their representative, Simon Jones, confirmed the news on Jan. 5 via X (formerly Twitter). While a cause of death has not been disclosed, Jones’ statement highlighted the deep sorrow felt by The Vivienne’s family and fans: "James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted and amazing person. Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother, and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career."
